What I did this Evening

Dylan

Jimmie Vaughn opened the evening with some amazing guitar stuff. Then two-plus hours of Dylan and his band with some of the new stuff and some of the old, like Highway 61, All Along the Watchtower, and a great version of Shelter from the Storm. Every bit was as good as the last time I saw him over twenty years when he toured with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.

I'm going to bed now with the velvety tones of Dylan's voice ringing in my head.

  1. I’ve seen Dylan in concert more than any other performer. I was sorry my trip to Ireland meant I had to miss his current tour, you never know when his last will be so you have to go to them all. What a songwriter.

He is actually singing better in his old age than in his younger years.

He is getting. It takes a lot of energy to sing that bad. *grin*
Neil, I don’t know if there will be more tours but if this is the last he is going out on top. It was awesome. I’m with you. I think he is the most amazing lyricist of my lifetime.
