Earlier this year, the United Nations World Food Programme created a video game called Food-Force. It features a team of people who are on a mission to save the fictional country of Sheylan in the Indian Ocean from famine and rebuild the infrastructure. Their website claims 2 million downloads of the game in six months. The game is intended to get young people interested in hunger and poverty issues. In addition to the game, the website also has information about real hunger and poverty issues. There are also classroom teaching tools about hunger.
If you want to join Food-Force you find them at www.food-force.com.
