I just read Algae – like a breath mint for smokestacks. MIT scientist Isaac Berzin has developed a process that grows algae in conjunction with coal burning if I understand it right. It will reduce the emission of CO2 by 40%. (Higher than the Kyoto Accords.) The algae absorb CO2 and then can be harvested and processed to create diesel fuel. Sort of gives a new meaning to the term "power plant."
