Evangelicals Branch Out Politically is an LA Times article about the emergence of an Evangelical Left. It mentions "Watch Parties" being sponsored around the nation to watch the State of the Union address tonight. Sojourners sponsor them.
I got a Sojo e-mail a couple of days ago and found one about a mile from my house. It turns out it is a combined event with the local Democrats. I checked out other locations in Kansas and Missouri; the one in my neighborhood appears to be the exception.
