20th century theologians square off for Theology World Cup final

20th century theologians square off for Theology World Cup final is an article from the Presbyterian News Service.

German Protestant Juergen Moltmann will face Swiss Roman Catholic Hans Urs von Balthasar in an online poll on the Web site of Finnish theologian Patrik Hagman. The contenders are judged by Internet surfers who decide on the winner.

I predict that Moltmann will win on penalty kicks.

  1. Isn’t this like that Monty Python bit piiting Greek philosphers vs German philosphers? I think my son downloaded off the internet. Or am I just getting old?
    Still pulling for Italy…
    grace & peace

  2. I had forgot all about the Monty Python bit. That was a great one. I don’t know if that inspired it or not.
As to Italy, that will be just alright by me. I don’t really have a dog in this hunt.
