Having Fun With Library Call Numbers?

I just purchased a copy of Revelation: Four Views. A Parallel Commentary, edited by Steve Gregg. I have so many books that I keep an inventory of them in a bibliography database. I noticed something interesting as I entered the library call number for this book. Check out the highlighted three digits of the call number. What are the chances this was a coincidence?

  1. Yikes! I’ve had that book for several years–and it is very useful. But I never noticed the call number.

  3. I’m more intrigued with the two letters that lead off the call number…
