Single city block hosts world's longest race is a story I saw at Yahoo.
The longest foot race in the world is 3,100 miles, long enough to stretch from New York to Los Angeles. Those who run it choose a different route: they circle one city block in Queens — for two months straight.
I have just one simple question. WHY? This is a perfect metaphor for most of my human existence; running in endless circles! Why would anyone want to make this futility an objective reality? I take this as a sure sign that we Americans have way too much time on our hands.
