Way to go, Tigers! Since the Twins croaked, I guess I will now be pulling for a Detroit vs. St. Louis World Series.

Okay. St.Louis is who “the Detroiters” (Ernie Harwell, I believe, surely from tradition) played in the 68 World Series. So that would be alright. Would be nice to see “the Tigs”- long i, (also Harwell) win that win in seven, as well.

Growing up as kid, my earliest Baseball memories were of the Cards beating the Red Sox in the 1967 World Series but losing to the Tigers in the 1968 Series. So personally, I have been waiting 38 years for a rematch. So I will be pulling for the Cards in a grudge match although I don’t know how much of grudge match it will be considering most of the players today were not even alive when the ’68 series happened. (Boy am I starting to feel old.) Of course, the Cards still have to get there!
