  3. Very interesting, Michael. We’re part of that denomination, and we know a pastor, who is actually, along with his wife, coming to pastor our church. He has emergent meetings every Sunday afternoon. I’ll have to put him on to this.
    But I can understand this, learning what I have about this denomination’s roots and history.

  4. I attended a Covenant Church (City Church in Kansas City, MO) in my neighborhood for more than a year (in addition to my own church) and helped them through a discernment process after their pastor had to quit to take care of his terminally ill wife and deal with the aftermath of her death. I have several friends who attend Hillcrest Cov. Church in Overland Park, KS. I am going to a board meeting in two hours for a small urban core mission where the majority of the folks doing the work are Covenant.
    There is a lot other denominations could learn from the Covenant folks.
