As I noted in my previous post, I am in Louisville to work on the General Assembly Council Mission Work Plan. Our work wrapped up at supper time, so I hiked a few blocks to the gorgeous Louisville Slugger Field and watched the Triple-A Louisville Bats beat the Syracuse Chiefs 4-3. The Bats won on a dramatic diving catch by the shortstop to prevent a hit that would have driven in the equalizer in the top of the ninth with two outs. It was great fun. I hope my Kansas City Royals will someday evolve to this Triple-A level of play. 🙂
In addition to the game, one hot dog, one large, salted pretzel, one butter pecan waffle-style ice cream cone, and one Diet Pepsi were consumed. I'm going to bed now, and for some reason I don't feel so good.
