Evangelical Environmentalist (Don Bosch): 10 Things That Make Climate Models Tough to Build (and Understand)

With all of the discussion about man-made CO2 and global warming you may not know about other things that affect climate models.

My goal is not to discredit climate science at all, but to simply lay out a number of the issues these folks are dealing with as they try and understand the amazing world God’s given us. Proverbs says get wisdom and get understanding. By understanding our world better I think it will help us be better stewards of creation. And perhaps with more understanding of our climate, we’ll have more wisdom in this area to respond to both climate change prophets and skeptics.

So without further fanfare, here’s a rundown of ten different considerations in climate modeling (acknowledgements to the Comet Program, NOAA and NASA for some pictures): …

    Thanks, Michael. I so very much appreciate this perspective…it is great to have some putting up the global picture…pun intended 😉
    I’m going to pass the link on to some others who are buying the spin without taking the opportunity to see that it is a much bigger issue than any of us can get our brains around.

    When you get beyond the politics and alarmism, I think it is really interesting stuff. We have a guy at church who is a MIT trained Astronomer and head of a local state university’s science department. He says we have learned more about astronomy in the last ten years than in all of previous human history. State-of-the-art knowledege is changing about every six months. Climate science is still in its infancy.
