“Rapture Song” by Randy Bonifield

This is a great song called the Rapture Song by Randy Bonifield, who lives out in the burbs here (Kansas City). If you love Larry Norman and the movie "A Thief in the Night," you will get a big kick out of this. Nice work, Randy. (HT: Virgil)

  1. LOL. Lots of memories of cheesy movies and excellent Larry Norman concerts!

  2. LOL indeed! I was a senior in high school when that movie came out…and I didn’t remember that Larry Norman is to blame for the Left Behind Series…although I do remember him at a Jesus Festival in Cincinnati in the early 70s!

  3. I can’t claim to have that long a history with Norman. After he was kicked out of CCM in America he headed for Europe and was a crowd favorite from the mid-70’s thru the 80’s.
He played a couple of times at my home church in Belfast in the late 80’s

  4. I first became aware of him in the lat 1970s in college only to realize that some of the popular Christian songs I had heard others sing were written by him. I saw in concert in Kansas City, KS in the mid-1980s and again about ten years ago. I still listen to some of his stuff today. While his theology may have been a little whacky here and there he wrote and sang some great stuff!
Neil it seems to me that one of his live perfomance albums was recorded in Ireland. Maybe you were there. 🙂
