Kansas City is under a major freezing rainstorm tonight. They are expecting possible ice accumulations of one inch. That is enough to bring down power lines. So if we should lose power, you may not be hearing from me for a bit. (Alright! Enough with the cheers.) If so, I'll be back when I can. Peace.

Jusst getting into summer here. 🙂

We from the Pacific Northwest know something about ice storms…we lost out house’s only western shade tree to an ice storm four years ago :^( Makes for hot summers, but brighter winters!
Hey…I stopped from calling you out at Jesus Creed for the “Jesus Creed Politics” thread, but it will be an interesting couple of days!
Shalom….and our Seahawks clinched it :^)
p.s. The whole Advent Synchroblog group has my last name everywhere, so feel free to include it in your blogroll! I guess I’m out in the open, eh? -
Go ahead, Ron. Rub it in. 🙂
Peggy I have you fully identified now.
I tend to stay away from the politics threads though Scot does a wonderful job with them. I try to keep my focus on thinking through issues.
Congrats to the Seahawks! My Chiefs have lost six in a row. With our offensive line (and it is offensive), Brodie Croyle is like a practice dummy for the opposing defense. Being reduced a 4th string running back doesn’t help. Just three more weeks and the season will mercifully end. 🙂 -
As long as there are ten righteous men in KC, you should be all right…
On the other hand, the brimstone will get rid of the ice problem.
[grin] -
Of course we here in Columbia have little room to talk. It looks like we dodged a very large bullet today with the above-freezing temperatures.

Uh oh! We may have a problem. 🙂
My nibble little digits where working away at the keyboard around 2:00 when I heard a loud crack followed by a thud. Our 40 foot oak lost a significant branch. I grabbed my gear and my hand saw and had that puppy in a nice neat pile in less than 30 minutes.
If you make it into Wednesday, I think we will be fine. I don’t think anymore precip is anticipated.
Hope it all stays away from you. -
The ice was not bad on our side of town, sorry to hear about your tree. It was good to meet you last week at lunch with Keel. That was a very short but profitable time.

Glad to here you’re okay. The main branch that fell was dead and well up into the tree. I’m actually glad it came down. One less dead branch.
I wish we had had more time. I’d love to learn more about what your doing. But don’t you wish Keel could be little passionate about the stuff he was talking about? 😉
