You may have seen my post on Wednesday, Why the chicken crossed the road – update. That got me thinking. I wonder why the Presbyterian (PCUSA) chicken crossed the road?
Here are my top ten reasons (in no particular order) why the Presbyterian chicken crossed the road. Have I missed some?

To demonstrate decent and orderly jaywalking.

Because there was a non-geographical Evangelical Presbyterian Church presbytery waiting to greet the chicken on the other side of the road.

Someone was talking about sex and ordination on the other side of the road.

Southern Baptists showed up on the chicken’s side of the road.

It was the chicken’s vocation and call to cross the road.

To form a task force to study Peace, Unity, and Poultry.
