New York Times: Oil Prices Fall Below $90 a Barrel
HOUSTON — Oil prices fell below $90 a barrel on Monday for the first time since February because of the economic slowdown, even though production in the Gulf of Mexico had not fully recovered from hurricane destruction three weeks ago. …
This evening I went by the QuikTrip, where I buy my gas at 31st and Southwest Blvd., on the Kansas City, KS, and Kansas City, MO border (It straddles the state line.) Prices there were under $3.00 a gallon. My 401K may be in the tank, but at least we can all afford to drive to the unemployment office.
