I am off to Louisville this afternoon for PCUSA stuff. I'll attend overlapping COGA meetings (Committee on the Office of the General Assembly) and GAMC (General Assembly Mission Council.) I attend COGA as a corresponding member of the GAMC.
By my calculation, this is my 12th GAMC meeting since being elected to the board in June of 2004. These last five years have been a time of incredible change, and more is in the wings. As I reflect on how to describe the experience of being on the GAMC and now being vice-chair, I haven't come up with any better metaphor than the following.
