it seems that we are headed towards less than half of the people in the country having a tax burden.
So what happens when more than half the people in the country are not contributing to the federal tax structure? Having a say in the management without any “skin” in the game is a lousy concept.

I don’t know that we are headed to 50%, but I’m sure the recession is having some influence on those shifting numbers.
As for “skin” in the game, its alittle more complicated than income tax. There’s trimmings from the govt on all sorts of things, payroll taxes being one of them. While I’m all for ‘no taxation without representation’, and its reverse, I’m still a fan of ‘one person, one vote’ no matter how much skin they have or how little.
