What this seems to not account for is digital books as well as online news sources. Liberal leaning people are still notably better informed about current events and law (there was an amusing Jon Stewart segment comparing knowledge of Constitutional law between ASU students (all of whom are defending the decision not to give Obama an honorary Ph.D) vs. the immigrants help that were working in the kitchens)
