Looking After Creation

Looking After Creation is an interview of Sir John Houghton by Christianity Today's David Neff. I appreciate his faith perspective, and I believe we need to introduce new technologies. Finding better ways to create more energy for the world while decreasing the pollution in the air and water people consume is a pressing need. However, I'm doubtful of his assessment that most of the warming since the 1970s is human-caused.

Houghton is a key player in the efforts by many Evangelicals to raise global warming as an issue in the faith community. Environmental stewardship is important, but if we link motivation for stewardship to scientific error (if indeed it is), the credibility of our social action goes down with it when the error is uncovered.
