“Tolerant” Liberals at Columbia University

Over the years, I have participated in protest marches against several things. Some of the most notable were against the KKK and Neo-Nazis in the late 1970s and early 1980s. On the other hand, I have always supported the right of such groups to assemble on public property and make public demonstrations. Short of incitement to violent acts, it is important in a free society for all viewpoints to be able to enter the public square and speak their minds. Let an informed public see things for what they are.

With all that in mind, I invite you to check out this Columbia University's TV News video. This was a University event where someone from the Minutemen organization was invited to come and share his views last night. This scene reminds me of the line from the Clash song "Know Your Rights":

"You have the right to free speech….as long as you are not dumb enough to actually try it!"
