A United Methodist Emerging (Susan Cox-Johnson): KC Cohort Meeting
The Kansas City Emergent Cohort met tonight at the Westport Coffee House. Susan Cox-Johnson did a post about our gathering. She also posted a picture. The strikingly handsome profile at the right of the picture would be yours truly.
Very cool! I’ll snap a pic of our cohort at the next meeting…this is a great idea.
Pics are fun! This was one of our mid-sized meetings. We had an unusually lively discussion last night. I really enjoyed it.
I wish I coulda been there. Alas, we had session last night. Perhaps sometime soon?
Hey Kairos. I think they are shooting for the third Thursday of the month, although the location keeps moving. If you check the KC Emergent link at the bottom left, they usually put the announcement there.
Have you met Eric Garbison? Eric was an associate at Knox Pres in Overland Park a few years ago. He went to Atlanta about 2002 and just returned a few months ago. He is heading up an intentional community in NE KCMO. I think he will be leading the discussion about intentional community at the next meeting.
Unfortunately, I will be in Louisville at the GAC meeting that week. You should give it a shot. I suspect you would really like the folks there.
