Economix: Why Do Panhandlers Ask for Coffee?
Marginal Revolution, Freakonomics and a few other blogs have pointed to a recent article on the economics of panhandling, and how there are, ironically, online guides to help panhandlers maximize their profits. One bit of advice involves asking for a discrete amount of money, with the example being “I need 43 more cents to get a cup of coffee.”
