  1. Evidently the trillion-dollar-bill wasn’t enough to save their inflation problem. I heard that the next step was to introduce scientific notation on the currency. The Z$100 trillion note would have been marked
    Z$100*10^12
    Though if they’re using the British system it would be
    Z$100*10^18
    You don’t see numbers of that magnitude outside of astronomical journals.
    Another plan would have been to make the value a function of time:
    Z$100*Z(date)
    where Z is the well-known “Zimbabwe currency function”. The graph looks something like an exponential.

  3. From what I hear, Zimbabweans went back to the barter system a while back, which is fine for those who still have something to trade…
