Of course not.
But when you have a “culture” based on competitive individualism, or the war of all against all, and thus by extension the natural world too, then everybody inevitably loses, including those who presume to be winners (guns and gated-“communities” being the “order” of the day)
These three references provide sufficient anti-dotes to the toxic “culture” created by unbridled winner takes all competition.
